# Uptime badges

Show a monitor's uptime or status in a README or on your website.


Turn on the badge at the bottom of a monitor's page to get a link like:

Add it to a README:

|---|---|---|
| (none) | `…svg` | Uptime over 30 days |
| `period` | `?period=24h` | `24h`, `7d`, `30d` or `90d` |
| `type` | `?type=status` | `up`, `down` or `paused` |
| `label` | `?label=API` | Your text on the left |

Badges are public, but show only the number or status, never the monitor's name or URL. **New link** replaces the address (the old one stops working) and **Turn off** removes it. Badges update about once a minute.
