Pulsefast docs
Pulsefast checks your websites, APIs and servers as often as every 5 seconds, confirms each failure from a second region, and alerts your team where they already are.
#Get started in five minutes
- Sign in at pulsefast.io/login with your email. No password: we send you a link. New accounts start with 14 days of the Team plan, free and without a card; afterwards, pick a plan or stay on Free (nothing is deleted).
- Add an alert channel under Alert channels: Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, PagerDuty, incident.io, ntfy, Pushover, email, a webhook, or (on Team and Business) SMS and phone calls.
- Add a monitor: a URL for websites and APIs, a host and port for databases and other servers, or a heartbeat for cron jobs.
- Optional: create a status page, invite your team, and get a badge for your README.

#How a check works
Every check opens a fresh connection, like a new visitor would, and records DNS, connect, TLS and response times. When a check fails, Pulsefast asks probes in other regions to check right away. If any of them can reach your site, the failure was local to one region and nobody is woken up. Only confirmed failures alert.
A monitor goes down after more failed checks in a row than its retries setting, and you're alerted once. You're alerted again when it recovers, and, if you choose, every so often while it stays down.
